The YMCA is a group of people who come together to meet the needs of all. YMCAs are run by volunteer boards. These volunteers, YMCA staff and members of the community roll up their sleeves to create grassroots solutions to neighborhood problems. Whether it's teaching kids how to swim, leading an exercise class of older adults, guiding teens in the Y-Achievers program, teaching middle school children a step-dance routine or raising money for our after school programs, YMCA volunteers are effective because they are, by and for the community.
We have relationships with 45 other non-profits, schools and churches to meet the community needs, now all we need are volunteers to make these programs successful.
YMCA of Lansing volunteers use their hearts, heads, and hands as they work together to build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities.
Come and join us. There are many opportunities to volunteer at the Lansing YMCA.
The life you change could be you own!
