YMCA is the largest provider of childcare around the nation. We believe in providing high-quality and affordable programs that are family-centered. We focus our programs around values aimed to nurture children’s healthy development. With our preschool and school age childcare programs, you as parents always have the opportunity to stay involved. Whether it is through special events, newsletters, parent advisory committees, or volunteering in the classroom. Our programs are state licensed, and all staff meet or exceed licensing regulations for background checks, education and experience. In all of our programs we emphasize values such as caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Childcare is open to all, with financial assistance available.

YMCA After School Programs (K-5th grade)
YMCA school age programs offer quality before and after-school care that is safe, convenient and active. Each program is licensed by the State of Michigan and features structured, age-appropriate activities. Our staff is caring, imaginative and well trained with the necessary credentials to work and play with young people. Structured beneficial programs include homework assistance, enrichment activities, relationship building, sports and games, and arts and crafts.
The YMCA Afterschool Program is a low-cost after-school comprehensive program to enrich children’s lives. It compliments school in a manner that is fun for your child. A long-term goal of the program is to help your child develop socially. We put together small groups made up of children of similar age and maturity. Small group work helps develop social skills while also emphasizing your child as an individual. Neighborhood YMCAs conveniently partner with local school districts and community-based organizations to provide after-school programs.
